Remarks: Chindongo demasoni was previously classified as Pseudotropheus demasoni. Males and females will be black with light blue stripes, though males will be more pronounced with their coloration. This species tends to be more aggressive than most mbuna, and their aggression when defending a feeding territory is one of the attributes that separates Chindongo from similar genera.
